So Many Hands on Deck, So Much Change Happening!

Much thanks for all of your prayers, and to the L.A. and Pittsburgh groups who were here serving last week. Pastor Reynario’s community was blessed greatly by all of your prayers and support.

God is working mightily in Pastor Jamin’s community this week. Long Hill Chapel is here from New Jersey, ready to serve and working on three new homes. Seeing love and joy characterize the people of that community, who welcome us so graciously, it is clear that God is bringing about great change.

Please pray for Pastor Jamin and his family as his daughter, Jare, is going through a rigorous spiritual battle this week. We are confident in the Lord’s sovereignty and his great plan for Jamin and his ministries, but right now our prayers for him are very much needed.

After only day of work, each of these families has shown themselves to be a blessing to serve. On one job site, a younger couple and their children watch the team work, pitching in occasionally. They are so evidently in love, hugging and smiling constantly, wrestling with their children on the dirt road out in front of the house being built. Even though the visiting missionaries can’t always understand the family’s words, it is inspiring for them to see the family rejoicing for seven straight hours on the job site. Their eyes say, “Can you believe we’ll be living here?”

Another family that God is blessing this week lives on a pig farm. The man of this house is like no one else. Unapologetically loud and jolly, he is always willing to show us something. When we poured the concrete at the job site, he was there showing off his enormous pig that he planned to slaughter and cook for us. As we sat down to eat the lunch they had prepared for us, he took out a pack of cards and started to perform magic tricks. God bless this family and their cheerful spirit. The bold blue paint that they have picked out for the siding of their house is perfectly fitting for them.

The third family that God is allowing us to serve this week is currently living in a trailer home. The man of the house has a passion for fixing cars. There is a whole dug in their front lawn so that he can pull cars over, then get in the whole under them to work on them. His wife speaks English fairly well, and she said that she has learned to from watching Sesame Street. One of the walls that were put up during the construction blocked the entrance to their mobile home so that they have to enter through the window until they move into their new home. They were perfectly okay with this, such content and grateful people.

We continue to thank and praise God for the privilege to work beside the people here. We ask you to continue to pray for us, the pastors and the people here. They bring about powerful change in the kingdom of God. Hallelujah.

God bless
